3/12/2018 0 Comments Final reflectionAt the beginning of this class, I had little initial knowledge of photography. I always just used my phone to take pictures, and I didn't pay attention to aspects like shutter speed, ISO, aperture, etc. Having to take pictures with an actual camera every week to turn in really forced me to be more aware of all the different elements that come together when you are taking a quality picture. Now that I know more about the elements of taking a good photo, I think that it has really influenced the way I think. While I had a little bit of prior knowledge of photography, Photoshop was something I knew nothing about before this class. I had never used Photoshop on a computer before, or anything like it. I have learned a lot of useful skills throughout this trimester, many that I think I will use again in the future. My favorite Photoshop assignment we did was the tutorials one. It combined all the skills I had already learned, plus adding a few new ones. This is the first picture I turned in for a photo assignment. I don't think it was that bad, but it definitely could have been better if it was a nicer day, or if the lamp post wasn't in it. I would say the pictures I took for the Still-Life category are my least favorite. I didn't know how to manipulate the setting to make the picture interesting. This is the last picture i turned in for a photo assignment. This is one of my best, because I took the time to plan when I was taking the photo (sunset), and I considered aspects like perspective and exposure more seriously. This was the first Photoshop assignment I did, and it was pretty simple. It didn't take very much skill. This is one of the last Photoshop assignments I did, with the original on the right and the finished product on the left. This was probably my favorite tutorial that I did, because it involved the most new skills.n
